BlackBerry has made an announcement yesterday at its keynote conference that the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) will finally be available in Android and iOS platforms this summer.
BBMis a very popular messaging app, which now has nearly 60 million users. By going cross-platform, BBM can be dealing with about 10 billion messages per day, which can be at the same level as Facebook Messenger.

According to TechNews, the fingerprint sensing home button rumored to be on Apple’s next-gen iPhone will be a capacitive touch-sensitive button covered by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass, instead of a touch-sensitive virtual button. The source added that iPhone 5S is expected to arrive this summer along with the rumored low-cost iPhone.

Sony Xperia ZR Announced as a Waterproof Device.
As expected, Sony announced its waterproof device, the Xperia ZR, featuring a 4.6-inch HD Reality Display with 1280×720 pixels and available in two colors, black and white. The eye-catching point is that the Xperia ZR is water-resistant to 1.50 meters (5 feet) of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. What’s more, it’s also dust-resistant and equipped with durable tempered glass with an anti-shatter film on the front, which makes Xperia ZR anything but fragile.

Samsung Electronics said in a statement Monday that they had tested a super-fast 5G wireless technology that would be able to offer transmitting speeds “hundreds of times” faster than the current 4G network. The 5G is expected to be available to the public in 2020.

Recent rumors state that Google has abandoned the project, because Motorola could not meet Google’s innovation requirements.This rumor/leak comes from the Technologic Analyst Sun Chang Xu, who posted the on her Weibo (China’s equivalent to Facebook) that the project would not be cancelled, but Google will pull out and leave it to Motorola.
